Sigurd Evald Thingholm
out of body (2023)
The Royal Danish Academy 31.03.2023
Description
A short video about being overtaken by a recognizable silhouette that notices you while passing. You are allowed to see your body from the high angle of the light, but owing to the absence of light. Walking past streetlights with the two only directions of the sidewalk, the (non-)body comes up on the side for a moment. Then it rushes on, becomes elongated, and fades out. If you turn around and walk in the opposite direction, it plays out in the same way, until you realize that you yourself as a body are the engine behind its rush.
Duration: 01:08 min.

Audio: No
