Description
A student at the academy pleads for the release of her husband, the Franco-Afghan journalist Mortaza Behboudi, who has been held by the Taliban since the 7th of January. She says she is worried about his mental and physical condition. She tells Al Jazeera about how much other people’s support and solidarity helped in Mortaza’s release. Mortaza Behboudi is a journalist, doc- umentary maker, and human rights activist. He has been working on giving voice to the people who were silenced and portraying the staggering state of women’s rights in several countries. Now he is punished by the Taliban for this.
